Inalco's Erasmus+ Exchange Program gives exchange students access to three categories of courses, all taught in French.
In order to be accepted at Inalco within the framework of the Erasmus+ exchange programme, nominated students are required to provide proof of a French language level equivalent to B1 or higher, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ( CEFR).
Language and Civilisation courses:
Courses in over 100 non-Western languages, civilisations, and area studies ranging across a dozen Departments. To enroll, exchange students must have at least a B1 level in French.
Please note that exchange students cannot follow or enroll in any of the courses from the Korean studies department. Furthermore, due to a very high number of candidates and a limited number of available spots, students cannot follow or enroll in the English courses taught at Inalco.
French Language courses (Inal’FLE):
French Language courses (reading, speaking, civilisation, etc.) available for all proficiency levels, from A1 (full beginner) to C1 (advanced).
Please note that incoming students will have to take an online language test before arriving at Inalco. Its results will determine the group level in which the student will be registered at Inalco, regardless of other results from DELF/DALF exams.
Thematic and Disciplinary courses :
To enroll, exchange students must have at least a B1/B2 level in French (B2 recommended).
Courses focus on examining phenomena from a transnational perspective.
- Anthropology - World Arts - Global Political Issues - Environment - Gender and Sexuality in the World - Connected World History - Linguistics - Literature, Arts and Translation - Orality - Philosophies of Elsewhere - Religion Violence, Migration, Memory
Professional Track courses:
Professional track access is only available to students starting their exchange in the Fall semester and staying for a whole academic year (September to June).
